Little River Rumble 100th Game commemorative print

The Warriors and the Savages have been getting together for the annual rivalry game since 1915. The September 3rd meeting was the 100th time the two towns have filled the stadium to cheer for their players.

To celebrate this 100th gathering, local artist Tommy Allen produced a work of art (see preview at right) depicting the passion and spirit of the game we locally call “The Little River Rumble”. The scene depicts two Native American warriors of opposing tribes engaged in a pivotal moment of battle. The still scene is tense with action as one fighter attacks from above, while the other attacks from below. Either’s move could be the end of the other, yet neither is assured victory. The battlefield they stand upon is surely a football field, yet the battle, like the game we call football, is everything.

The sale of these prints will benefit the arts in McCurtain County. There are only 500 prints in this limited edition, and when they’re gone - they’re gone.
