Samara Rain Wallace, 2005 - 2007

     Then were there brought unto him little children that he should put His hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. On Tuesday, February 27, 2007 the angels brought Samara Rain Wallace unto Jesus and her heavenly home. Samara was born on June 3, 2005, the daughter of Coty Wallace and Jessica Wells.
     Samara was preceded in death by paternal great-grandparents, Gene Wallace and Ginger Munnerlynn; maternal great-grandparents, Albert Wells Jr., Chester and Ester Jackson and a cousin, Amber Wells.

Lola Mae Baum, 1924 - 2007

      Lola Mae Baum, 82, of Eagletown, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at DeQueen, Arkansas. She was born March 26, 1924 at Alma, Arkansas to Amos Riley and Elsie Thomas Kerlin.
     Lola moved to Eagletown when she was 8 years old. She graduated from Eagletown High School as valedictorian of her class in 1940. She married Henry Ferman Lee in 1940 and moved to California where she lived for the next 30 years. In 1964 she married Glen Baum. They made their home in Eagletown in 1971. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, puzzles, gardening and spending time with her family. She was affiliated with the pentecostal faith.
      She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen Baum in 1988; brother, Vernard Kerlin; sister, Norma Hadley; and 2 step brothers, R. C. and Delbert Couch.
     Lola is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Karen Lee of California; twin daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Top Chandler of Eagletown and Mickey and Greg Hicks of Upland, California; one sister, Jean Cromer of Longview, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; other relatives and a host of friends.
     Services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2007 at Conley-White Chapel in Broken Bow with Bro. Kent House officiating. Interment will follow in Eagletown Cemetery.

Lisa Marie Dickey, 1962 - 2007

      Lisa Marie Dickey, 44, of Broken Bow, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at her residence. She was born December 12, 1962 to David and Sylvia Boston LaPanne at Dover, New Hampshire. She married Perry Dickey on April 14, 1982 at Broken Bow.
     Lisa was a talented musician and directed the music department at New Life Tabernacle in Broken Bow. She worked as a secretary / agent for several local insurance companies. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She loved the Lord and inspired many people and touched many hearts. She loved spending time in her flower garden.
     Those left to mourn her passing and to celebrate her life include her husband, Perry of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Chris Harris of Edmond; sons, SPC. Brian Dickey of Edmond and Kelly Dickey of the home; father, David LaPanne of Lake Wales, Florida; mother, Sylvia Mailhoit of Bow, New Hampshire; brothers, Major David LaPanne Jr. of Willmington, Delaware and SPC. Christopher LaPanne currently deployed to Iraq; sisters, Michelle Harnois of Exeter, NH, Jennifer Haunn of Newark, DE and Melissa LaPanne of Alabama; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
      Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the New Life Tabernacle with Rev. Johnny Cheek officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery at Broken Bow.
     Family will receive friends Friday, March 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Chadrick Ethan Gibson, 1978 - 2007

     Chadrick Ethan Gibson, 28, Broken Bow, went to Heaven at 5:45 A.M. on February 27, 2007. He was born March 13, 1978, at DeQueen, AR., the son of Melvin and Teresa (Chapman) Gibson. The name Chadrick Ethan meaning “Mighty Warrior” exemplified his life as he fought a twenty-eight year battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Against all odds he lived a life of happiness. He was a cowboy and he enjoyed his horses, camping and family get togethers. Chad touched the hearts and lives of all who met him and gained many, many friends along the way. He was affiliated with the Assemblies of God.

Bud McBrayer, 1942 - 2007

     Bud McBrayer, 64, of Idabel, passed away Monday, February 26, 2007 at Paris, Texas. He was born April 3, 1942 at Haworth, the son of Edgar Newton and Gussie Violet Bryant McBrayer. On August 4, 1961 he married Sue Finley at Haworth.
     Bud owned and operated Bud’s Saw Repair for over 40 years. He was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon for many years. Bud loved teaching his Sunday School Class. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County.
     He was preceded in death by his parents.
      Bud is survived by his wife Sue of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Jonathan and Kittie McBrayer of Ponca City, and Chris and GiGi McBrayer of Idabel; a daughter, Renae Boston of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Francis and Harold Axton of Oklahoma City; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carmen and Marvin Taylor of Coalgate; nine grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, many other relatives, and many, many friends.
     Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2007 at Trinity Baptist Church in Idabel with Bro. Kent House and Bro. Britt Lesley officiating. Interment will follow in Denison Cemetery.
     The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 1, 2007 at the funeral home.

Kareen “Kay” Marie Dale, 1942 - 2007

     Kareen “Kay” Marie Dale, 64, of Ringold passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at Antlers. She was born June 13, 1942 in Palestine, Texas, the daughter of David and Marie Moore Turpin. She married Billy Dale on October 24, 1958 in Nowata, OK.
     Kay attended school in Idabel. After her husband was discharged from the Army, her family moved to the Dallas area in 1969. Kay and her family returned to McCurtain County sometime around 1974. She had lived in Ringold since 1991.
     Kay enjoyed painting landscapes. She was a member of NAPUS and was employed by the Ringold Post Office as Postmaster. She attended the Old Burwell Church of Christ in Ringold.
     She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 year old son, Mark Paul Dale in 1965; son-in-law, Gary Nolan Gross, brother-in-law, Dewayne Penner; and mother-in-law, Lorene Penner.
     Kay leaves to cherish her memory her husband Billy Paul Dale of the home; sons, David Dee Dale and Billy Paul Dale II; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Marie Gross, Sharon Kay and Patrick D. Charles McGuire, 1914 - 2007

     Charles Edgar McGuire, Jr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 25, 2007. He was born September 17, 1914 in Plano, Texas to C.E. McGuire and Annie Morton McGuire.
     He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Jean Grimley, of Belfast, Ireland and his second wife, Viola Gafford; his parents; three brothers, Bill, Roy, and Frank; and a sister, Celeste.
     Charles moved to Idabel in 1919 and started school at Shultz Grade School under the direction of Lambert Barkman and Mrs Barkman. He graduated from Haworth High School in 1933.
     He served four years in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was stationed in Belfast, Ireland and Bremmerhaven, Germany. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Idabel for thirty years. He began this career as one of the first city mail carriers and later served as a rural carrier at Garvin.
     Charles was a longtime and faithful member of the First United Methodist church in Idabel.
     He enjoyed learning new things and taught himself to play the piano and the accordion. He learned to speak Spanish through study and first hand practice with Spanish speaking people. He was a ham radio operator at one time. He learned to use a computer in his later years and developed good technology skills.
     Charles enjoyed helping others. He sang in a group at various nursing homes and he worked with the Idabel Christmas Counsel delivering food baskets. He donated many hours to the activities of the American Legion. He was a loyal friend to many.
     He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and John Blackburn of Ehrenburg, AZ; granddaughter and her husband, Sherry and Chuck Williford of Prescott, AZ; grandson and wife, John and Kim Blackburn of Ehrenburg, AZ; great-grandchildren, Christopher Miller of Prescott, AZ, John Blackburn III and Erica Blackburn of Ehrenburg, AZ; nephew, Charles McGuire and his wife Pam of San Antonio, TX; niece, Susan McGuire Livengood and her husband Gregg of Clyde, NC; nephew, Larry McGuire of Arlington, TX; first cousins, Ella Bess McGuire Shields of Howe, TX, Mills McGuire of St. Louis, IL, Kenneth McGuire of Wheeling, WV, Bobby McGuire Saba of Huntsville, AL, Lavern McGuire Hamilton of Pittsville, IL, and Marilyn Keagy of Pampa, TX; a special second cousin, Dennis Jones of Dallas, TX; and a special sister-in-law, Fran Cobb of Arlington, TX; special caregivers, Brenda Farley, Sylvia Walls, Lahoma Long Whithead, Rainbow Home Health, and Mays Hospice.
     Funeral services will be held Friday, March 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Idabel with Rev. Donna Dodson officiating. Immediately following the service there will be a reception with refreshments in the new church building and everyone is encouraged to attend. There will be a private interment service at Denison Cemetery.
     In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church in Idabel.

Tehya Jefferson, 2006 - 2007

     There was a new angel sent to the heavens above. Little Tehya Chula Marie Jefferson became a beautiful angel on Monday, February 26, 2007. She was born December 14, 2006, at Idabel, the daughter of Marcus Traylor and JoAnna Jefferson.
     She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Johnnie and Rena Jefferson, great uncle, Jeff Jefferson and great aunt, Diana Jefferson.

Judy Shelton, 1941 - 2007

     Judy Shelton, 66, Broken Bow, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at Broken Bow. She was born January 18, 1941 at Montgomery, AL the daughter of Charles and Mildred (Melton) Ward.
     Judy and Jimmy Shelton were united in marriage on June 3, 1985 in Paris, TX. She was a Christian who enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to praise and worship music. Judy also enjoyed researching her geneology and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mildred Ward and stepmother, Louise Ward.

Wilma Jean Hunt, 1945 - 2007

     Wilma Jean Hunt of Ashdown, AR, ended her journey here on earth February 22, 2007 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Texarkana, TX, due to complications from major heart surgery she had on July 27, 2006. She is now at rest with the Lord.
     Jeannie, as we all affectionately knew her, was 61 years, 8 months and 14 days old. She was born June 8, 1945 in Purcell, OK, the daughter of Roy and Viola Ryan Hunt.
     After graduating in 1963 from Dumas High School, Dumas, TX, Jeannie moved to Chico, CA. It was there that she graduated from Chico State University in 1966 with a Master’s Degree in Sociology. After graduation, Jeannie traveled extensively throughout Europe. Jeannie loved helping other people, being near her family, working on crafts and decorating her home.
     Jeannie was preceded by her husband, Jim; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hunt; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Ryan.
     She is survived by her parents, Roy and Viola Hunt of Ashdown, AR; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Pryor Hunt of Thailand; three very special nephews, Jason Hunt of Thailand, Bryan Hunt, stationed in Iraq (U S Army), Stephen Hunt of Thailand; one very special niece, Jam Hunt of Thailand; 5 uncles, Hap Ryan of Chico, CA, Curt Ryan and wife Mary of Ashdown, AR, Doyle Ryan and wife Nita of Ashdown, AR, Lee Ryan and wife Helen of Chico, CA, Troy Hunt and wife Ola Faye of Wright City, OK; five aunts, Barbara Hunt of Wright City, OK, Louise Hunt of Dumas, TX, Lena Hunt of Ada, OK, Elsie Hunt of Valliant, OK and Gracie Hunt of Corning, CA; three special life long friends from her college days, Carolyn Tindell of Roseville, CA, Carolyn Reed of Chico, CA, and Larry Lamb of Oregon; and a host of other family members and friends.
     She worked in her career field in Oregon and California before returning to Arkansas in the early 1980's to be near her family.
     Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at the Conley-White Chapel with Bro. Kent House officiating. Interment will follow at Redland Cemetery in the Redland Community.

Lillian Marie Wake, 1924 - 2007

     Lillian Marie Wake, 82, of Idabel, passed away Friday, February 23, 2007 at McCurtain Memorial Hospital. She was born August 25, 1924 in the Forest Grove Community, the daughter of Charles R. and Nell Jane Maddox Holman. She was of the Baptist faith.
     A very youth oriented woman, her home was open to everyone. Marie never met a stranger. She sponsored Teen Town, a favorite past time for local youth, furnishing her own record player and records to keep the youth entertained.
     An avid sports fan, Marie loved basketball, football, and baseball. OU was her team of choice, but she loved them all. She would often argue with her grandsons about the games.
     Marie dedicated her life for her children, working hard all of her life so that they could have everything she thought they deserved. She worked as a waitress for many years, and then as an assistant butcher at a local grocery store. Her hardest and most appreciated job was being a mother.
     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Taft Virgil Wake; brother, Ikey Holman; sisters, Imogene Wendt and Edna Gaines; half-sisters, Frances Ausmus and Thelma Blades.
     Marie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Jane Wake, Virgil and Margie Wake, Bill and Sherry Wake all of Idabel; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl K. and James D. Martin of Idabel; sister, Helen Stuart of Oklahoma City; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
     Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at Denison Cemetery in Idabel with Bro. Dean Justus officiating.
     Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

LaRay Lee Tidmore, 1967 - 2007

     LaRay Lee Tidmore was born on December 17, 1967 in Idabel, the son of Jimmy Lee Tidmore and Carol White.
     LaRay grew up in the Forest Grove Community where he attended Elementary school. He had many ups and downs in life but had completely turned his life around. He learned a trade in welding and worked in construction. He was living and working in Hereford, Texas at the time of his death.
     He was a very big hearted person who tried to help many of his friends and family. He never met a stranger and was a very hard worker. He truly loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Not a day went by that he would not call and talk to his mother. He would always tell her that he loved her and to take care of herself.
     He worked as a truck driver in his twenties and during that time he fathered two children and just lately married a very wonderful lady.
     On Thursday morning, February 22, 2007, an angel came down from heaven to take him to his eternal resting place. Preceding him in death were his brother, Jimmy Dwain Tidmore in 1994, nephew, Coty Dwain Tidmore in 2005, and grandparents, A. S. Tidmore in 1994 and Juanita Tidmore in 1996, and Mary Nell Jamison in 2005.
     He is survived by his wife, Suzie, whom he married Sept. 24, 2006; a son, Zachary Lewis Lee George; daughter, Heaven Destinye Renee McCary; step-children, Zackary and Zanna McCune, Ashley and T. J. Dagenhart, and Josh and Amber Burke; step-grandchildren, Hunter and Calynn Burke, and Gage Dagenhart, and Kylie Wilcox; father, Jimmy Lee Tidmore; mother and step-father, Carol and Buck White; grandfather and step-grandmother, Frankie and Dortha Jamison; father and mother-in-law, Jerry and Shirley Bice; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
     Family will visit with friends and family on Saturday, February 24, at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
     The final tribute will be on Sunday, February 25, at 2:00 p.m. at the By-Pass Church of Christ with Bro. Dick Logan officiating. Burial will follow at the Waterhole Cemetery in Idabel.
     Pallbearers will be Guy Johnson, Larry Brinkley, Tony Rebik, Randy Smith, Curtis George, Brad Phillips, Jim Murray, T. J. Dagenhart, and Roger McDaniel.

Wesley (Ray) Stults, 1931 - 2007

     Wesley (Ray) Stults, 75, Hochatown, went home to be with the Lord on February 18, 2007. He was born March 12, 1931, at Irving, TX, the son of Wallace and Vallie (Howell) Stults.
     Wesley married Alice Fairchild on March 3, 1951, at Union-Bower, TX. Wesley and Alice moved to Hochatown in 1972. He loved attending church and was a member of Hochatown Assembly of God. He was a self-employed paint contractor and owner of Rocky Top Barbeque Restaurant. He enjoyed fishing and visiting with family and friends
     He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Vallie Stults; two sisters, Cleo Lucas and Georgia Sell.

Leo Eugene Harley, 1947 - 2007

     Leo Eugene Harley, 59, of Henryetta, passed away Friday, February 16, 2007 at Tulsa. He was born April 20, 1947 at Idabel, the son of Leo Michael and Esther Cephus Harley. He was of the Methodist Faith.
     Enlisting in 1967, Leo proudly served the in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Leo had entered the Army just out of high school.
     After serving, Leo met and married his wife of 30 years, Velma Taylor. They were married September 8, 1977 and moved to Henryetta to make their home. When he was a young boy, Leo enjoyed hunting and fishing. As he grew older bingo became his favorite interest.
     Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Michael and Esther Harley; sister, Ruby Washington; aunts, Hazel Brown, Adeline John, Lila Brown and Ida Thompson.
     He is survived by his wife, Velma Harley of the home; son, Leo Eugene Harley Jr. of the home; daughters, Lisa Marie Harley of DeQueen, Gail Harley of Idabel; step-daughter, Gloria Jacobs of Bixby, OK; brothers, Roy Harley of Idabel, Alfred Harley of Wilburton, Everett Harley of Idabel and Virgil Harley of DeQueen; sisters Leola Stehle of Ft. Worth, Ruth Williston of Idabel and Amelia James of Idabel; uncle, James Brown of Idabel; 8 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
     A wake service will be Sunday evening, February 18, 2007 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Conley-White Chapel with Roy Harley officiating.
     Funeral services will be 2:00 Monday, February 19, 2007 at the Conley-White Chapel with Rev. Rosa Baker officiating. Interment will follow at the Kulli Tuklo Cemetery.

Joe Hackney, 1934 - 2007

     Joe Hackney, 72, of Idabel, departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, February 9, 2007 at Idabel, OK. He was born October 5, 1934 the son of Jessie James and Lora Ann Horton Hackney.
     Coming from Arkansas, Joe moved to Idabel at the age of 16 years. Joe loved the people of Idabel and considered everyone he met to be a friend. He would always greet them with a handshake and a smile.
     Tending lawns for many residents and businesses in Idabel, Joe made friends daily. He was a hard worker and will be greatly missed by many.
     He was a devout Christian and enjoyed visiting all churches. Joe often quoted the Bible and would remind his friends, “The Bible says you are supposed to help one another.” He would ask people when it would rain, “You know who did that, don’t ya?” Joe knew God and knew by believing in Him, he would make it to Heaven.
     Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Hackney; sister, Lillian Beard; 2 brothers, Charlie Hackney and Marvin Hackney.
     He is survived by his sister, Mary Draper of Oklahoma City; brother, Henry Hackney of Oklahoma City; nephews, Ed Creech Jr., Ray Churchwell, Billy King, Marvin Hackney Jr., James Hackney, Jessie James Hackney; nieces, Sue Brown, Jewel Clough, Mary Donison, Judy Hackney, Lawanda Greyson, Linda Jane Campbell, Teresa Hackney, Betty Dunigan, Nancy Hackney, Stacy Hackney, Cindy, Joy, numerous other relatives, and many, many friends.
      Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the Conley-White Chapel, Idabel. Interment will follow at Denison Cemetery.

Steven Johnson, 1962 - 2007

     Steven Johnson, 44, of Mt. Herman passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Mt. Herman. He was born March 26, 1962 to Army and Sandra Henry Johnson at Napa, California.
     Steven enjoyed hunting and fishing.
     He was preceded in death by his father, Army Johnson.
     Steve leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Sandra Reynolds of Mc Kinleyville, California; sons, John Ferguson of Ft. Benning, Georgia and Steven Johnson of Washington; step-mother, Kay Simmons of Mt. Herman; uncles, Clayton Johnson of Fairhaven, Massachusetts, R. B. Johnson and Boyd Johnson both of Mt. Herman; aunts, Lorene Shipman of Springfield, Missouri, Daisy Barrick of Elk Grove, California, and Nelcene Newman of Springfield, Colorado; half brothers, Jared and Scotty Johnson of Kentucky; sisters, Debra Johnson of Kenner, Louisianna and Rhonda Johnson of Mc Kinleyville, California; half sister, Jenny Johnson of Kentucky; other relatives and a host of friends.
     Services are set for 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at the Mt. Herman Church in Broken Bow.
     Family visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 6, 2007.

MaKenlee Marie Jordan Flores

     Megan Jordan and Carlos Flores were blessed with a visit from an angel. Our daughter, MaKenlee Marie Jordan Flores, born at 9:02 p.m. Feb. 6, 2007, at Idabel and was only here for a few precious minutes before she went to Heaven at 9:30 p.m. Feb. 6, 2007, at McCurtain Memorial Hospital.
     Services for MaKenlee will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at Conley-White Chapel in Broken Bow with the Rev. Bob Weeks officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening Feb. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
     MaKenlee was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal great-grandparents.
     God looked upon all the earth for a perfect little girl to be at his side and he chose MaKenlee, our angel, to be with him in Heaven because no one else would do.
     We are so broken hearted and we feel so empty inside, but we will be forever grateful for the joy and happiness she brought to us in the months that she grew and developed as our perfect little girl.
     Because of MaKenlee’s presence in our lives we are left with a treasure that money cannot buy. We love you, our baby angel.
     She is survived by her parents, Megan Jordan and Carlos Flores of the home; aunt Morgan Jordan and family friend Chris Liles of Broken Bow; maternal grandparents, Charlotte Howard of Mt. Herman, Ralph Howard of Avenger, Texas and Carroll Jordan of Oklahoma City; paternal grandparents, Jose Roman Flores of Honduras and Daisy Argentina of Houston, Texas; great aunt, Rachael Garcia of Los Angeles, Calif.; great-grandmother Shirley Whitney Jordan of Mustang; aunt, Paula Smith of Tulsa; uncles, Kendal Smith and wife Dana of Tulsa, Shawn Smith and wife Jennifer of Oklahoma City, Raul Flores and Julio Flores, both of Houston; cousins, J.C. Glen Don Burnett, 1972 - 2007

    Glen Don Burnett passed away on Tuesday February 6, 2007 at Tulsa. He was born on January 17, 1972 in Talihina. Glen enjoyed fishing, four wheeling, and being at the lake. He loved spending time with his nephews. Glen was affiliated with the Baptist Faith and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County.
     He was preceded in death by his father, Dick Burnett; grandfather, Coy Hargis; and great-grandmother, Myrtle John. Glen is survived by his mother, Barbara Glass of Idabel; son, Jonathan Parker of Haworth; the love of his life, Ranea Allen and son Caiden Allen of Haworth; grandmother, Lou Parks of Idabel; brother, Clay Burnett of Oklahoma City; sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Shawn White of Idabel; nephews, Hunter Turnage, Ryan Turnage, and Paden Blackard all of Idabel; several aunts, uncles, other relatives, and a host of friends.
      Services will be Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Conley-White Chapel in Idabel with Brad Giddens officiating. Interment will follow in the Denison Cemetery.
     The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, at the funeral home.
     In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the National Kidney Foundation to help fight of kidney disease.

Cleo Don Sharrock, 1946 - 2007

     Cleo Don Sharrock, 61, Broken Bow, passed away Friday, February 9, 2007, at St. Michael Health Care System, Texarkana, TX. He was born February 7, 1946, at Enid, OK, the son of Thurmon and Pearl (Emery) Sharrock.
     Cleo married Carleene Smith on December 30, 1964, at Hugo, OK. He was a cattle rancher and poultry producer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and visiting with friends. His greatest pleasure came from spending lots of time with his grandchildren and other family members.
     He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Laura Norton and Walter Emery; paternal grandparents, Harmon and Molly Sharrock and nephew, “Little Frank” Bunce.

Billy Joe Davis, 1987 - 2007

     Billy Joe Davis, 19, Broken Bow, passed away February 6, 2007 at his residence. He was born October 16, 1987, in Talihina, OK., the son of Greene and Jolene (Wesley) Davis.
     Billy was a lifetime resident of Broken Bow. He enjoyed basketball, shooting pool, fishing and mechanic work. He also enjoyed attending church and was a member of Springs of Light Church, most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.
     He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charley Davis; cousin, Eric Boswell; and a great-uncle, Calvin Carterby.

Horace Moore, 1923 - 2007

     Horace Moore, 83, of Wright City, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at his residence. Born on June 10, 1923 at Greenville, TX, he was the son of Ed and Ellie Mae (Crouson) Moore. Horace and Lucy Scroggins were married at Wheelock community on February 13, 1943, celebrating almost 64 years together.
     Horace was retired from the planer mill at Weyerhaeuser and was a local cattleman. Earlier in his life, Horace was with the Civilian Conservation Corps stationed at Cody, WY. Never afraid of hard work, he enjoyed ranching, farming, and the outdoors. Horace loved his family and was always helpful to his community. He was affiliated with the Wright City Assembly of God Church.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Ellie Moore; a son, William Sherrill Moore; a grandson, Wendell (Scotty) Moore; and a sister, Evelyn Tyler.
     Horace leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Lucy, of the home; two sons and three daughters-in-law, James (Jim Ed) and Brenda Moore, of Valliant, Curtis (Rabo) and Jeanetta Moore, and Dianne Moore, of Wright City; six grandchildren, Pam White and husband Marty and Bill Moore and wife Misty, both of Wright City, Kelly Moore of Idabel, Russell (Rusty) Moore of DeQueen, AR, Ronald (Munford) Moore of Valliant, Travis (Roscoe) and Whitney Moore of Millerton; six great-grandchildren, Brandy and Chris McCullough, Amanda and Jeremy Perry, Blake Moore, Macy Moore, Riley Moore, and Michael Weston Moore; three great-great-grandchildren, Kaeson and Kaylee McCullough and Conner Perry; one brother, Howard Moore of Bend, OR; one sister, Melrine, of Texarkana, TX; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
     Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 11, 2007, at Green Chapel Assembly of God Church with Bro.Tag Rowan and Bro. Randy Watkins officiating. Interment will follow at Slater Memorial Cemetery in Wright City.
     Family will be receiving friends at the home of Horace and Lucy Moore.

Elmer LeRoy "Roy" Douglas, Jr., 1917 - 2006

     Elmer LeRoy "Roy" Douglas, Jr., 89, former Idabel resident, passed away January 31, 2007 at Irving, TX. He was one of seven children, born to Elmer and Annie Douglas on April 29, 1917 near Hope, AR. After living in Oklahoma for many years, he made Texas his final home.
     Roy enjoyed fishing, country western music and being outside. He was a welder by trade and an awesome dealer. When it came to buying and selling and making a profit, it didnÂ’t matter if it was a piece of metal or a parcel of land. He began making deals at the age of 10. While other children played, Roy would gather dried cattle bones out in the woods and countrysides, and sell them for five cents a pound.
     Roy was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Coralee Hughes Douglas; his parents Elmer and Annie Douglas; 2 sisters, Ruth Jenkins and Mamie St. Clair; and 2 brothers, Robert Douglas, Sr. and Forest Douglas.
     He is survived by 2 sisters, Martha Frances Smith of Irving, TX and Georgia Proctor of Broken Bow, OK; and 15 nieces and nephews who he loved dearly; other relatives and many friends
     Family visitation is scheduled for Friday, February 1, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home
     Services are set for Friday, February 2, 2007 10:00 AM at the Conley-White Chapel in Idabel.
