Advertising with The McCurtain County View
A quick word about advertising metrics:
No television station can tell you exactly how many times your ad gets seen. They can tell you how many times they showed it, but they cannot tell you how many times it was SEEN. We can tell you exactly how many times your ad was SEEN. Our videos are short (no more than ten minutes), so there's no chance our viewers will take a trip to the fridge while we're showing them how great you are. We also record your ad into the video, so your ad will still be seen two months (or years) from now when the show is REALLY big.
No printed newspaper or magazine can tell you exactly how many times your ad gets seen. They can tell you how many copies they printed, how many they delivered and how many were purchased at newsstands, and even show you that it was placed on page 11 right next to the "Tasty Wheat" ad, but they cannot tell you how many times it was actually SEEN. We can tell you exactly how many times your banner ad was SEEN. Our prominent location and striking design ensure that the eye cannot miss seeing your ad. Your ad won't be buried in a sea of other ads, or on page 32 of the "style" section. You can even get a report of exactly how many times your ad is seen each month.
Banner advertising is available to fit anyone's budget. Banners are highly visible, are visually engaging, and are linked to your website (or a facebook page, etc.). You can have your banner displaying in one, two, or three zones of our pages and choose a frequency level that suits you. Most of our advertisers maintain their own websites, but some don't. In this case you should check out the excellent bargain that is our business directory. We do not build websites.
Business Directory Listings can be purchased online (for those who want to upload their own pictures, text, and make changes whenever they need), or they can be purchased by contacting us and having our staff insert the information and upload photos. The convenience of our full-service option makes this the preferred choice of most of our clients. The full-service option costs no more than the self-serve option, but updates require paying a technician for his time ($30 minimum).
Splash Page advertising makes a big impression and is seen multiple times by every viewer who opens a page. We don't use it all the time, but it is available.
Newspaper advertising is available to our sponsors only. Sponsors support The McCurtain County View year-round and have their rates guaranteed by contract. The full-color weekly newspaper is published every Monday at 10:00 A.m. via email. Our digital subscribers receive it instantly. Newsstand copies are available shortly after noon at our location in the Grand Leader Coffee House.
Underwriting video programming with The McCurtain County View
Major underwriters of specific McCurtain County View video programs are announced in a message of up to 15 seconds at the start, and at the end of the programs they support. Other underwriters are featured in ads called "lower fifths", which show up in the lower portion of the screen during play of the video. The underwriter may also mentioned audibly during the program, and may even have a product appear within the program. All underwriting is based on annual needs to support the specific program, or to support The McCurtain County View in general. General underwriters are given supporter banners on our website, which can be linked to their own website. You may see these ads in action by going to our videos page.
